Drake Leads 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominee List

Unsurprisingly, Drake nabbed 11 nominations for the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which were announced on Wednesday (September 12), surpassing Cardi B and her 10 nods.

For the second year in a row, the hip-hop award show will return to The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on October 6 for its annual telecast, which airs October 16 at 8 PM ET. Following the hip-hop titans in the nominations list are Childish Gambino with six titles, and Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar with five nods. Among the fresh crop of rappers up for the Best New Hip Hop Artist honor include BlocBoy JB, Juice WRLD, Lil Baby, Rich the Kid and late rapper XXXTentacion.

No word on performers and cyphers for the upcoming event, but considering last year's affair included Bardi performing her breakthrough hit, "Bodak Yellow," and Eminem dissing Donald Trump, we can only imagine the ways that the network plans on topping the 2017 affair. Scroll on below for the full list of nominations for this year's show!
