Cardi B & Bruno Mars Are Dropping A New Song This Week

Cardi B is baaaaack!

After a much-needed break away from social media, the Grammy-winning artist emerged from her "retirement" from Instagram Wednesday night (February 13) to announce her new upcoming single with Bruno Mars. “Ok so I’m back from retirement to announce I have a brand new song coming out Friday at midnight with @brunomars," the "Bodak Yellow" rapper wrote along with the promo artwork for the tune, which depicts a racy Bardi posing closely beside a suave-looking Mars.

The untitled track, dropping this Friday (February 15) at midnight, is sure to be nothing short of a banger, as history has proven Cardi and Mars make quite the dynamic duo. In January 2018, the pair teamed up for the remixed version of the R&B crooner's new jack jam "Finesse," which became an instant Song of Summer hit.

Cardi's pre-Valentine's Day surprise comes just days after the 26-year-old's historic triumph at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. The "I Like It" star became the first female solo emcee to take home the Grammy for Best Rap Album for her debut studio record, Invasion of Privacy, this weekend.

Despite being met with backlash over her win as well as being pinned against her rap rival Nicki Minaj after her Grammy vic, the cheers of Cardi's supporters drowned out those of her critics.

"It is so hard to be a woman in this industry. What it takes, how hard we work through the disrespectful challenges, just to make art. I love youCardi," tweeted in the lyricist's defense. "You deserve your awards. Let’s celebrate her fight. Lift her up & honor her. She is brave."
