Millions of Americans are expected to participate in "No Kings" protests across the nation, a pushback against Trump and his upcoming military parade.

On Saturday (June 14), roughly 1,500 anti-Trump demonstrations organized by the "No Kings Movement" are set to take place, coinciding with the president's 79th birthday and a parade commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army in Washington, D.C, per The Hill.

“Instead of allowing this birthday parade to be the center of gravity, we will make action everywhere else the story of America that day: people coming together in communities across the country to reject strongman politics and corruption,” No Kings organizers wrote in a statement.

The "No Kings" protests come amid demonstrations across the country against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Protests initially broke out in Los Angeles last week amid a series of ICE Raids in the cities. Demonstrations escalated after Trump called in the National Guard and Marines to respond to protesters.

Trump has characterized protesters this week as "animals" and a "foreign enemy," adding that they would be met with "very big force."

Saturday's No Kings protests are planned in most major cities. In D.C., organizers are encouraging demonstrators to join the flagship march in Philadelphia or a local protest in Virginia or Maryland. D.C. Joy Day is also being held in Anacostia Park with music, grilling, activities for children, and a grocery distribution.
