Maya Angelou to be Honored on US Quarters by US Mint

Still no Harriet Tubman $20 bills yet in the U.S., but the U.S. Mint will feature some pioneering women as part of their newest program, to be honored as the face of upcoming quarters.

The U.S. Mint now has the 'American Women Quarters Program,' where much like the state localized quarter craze in the early 2000's, (remember those), the country will salute some pioneering women in multiple fields, such as Maya Angelou, the famed poet who passed in 2014.

Angelou and NASA Astronaut Sally Ride will be featured on the backs of quarters, set to release January 2022 and remain in circulation until 2025.
