If you told me you didn't see this coming after the scandal of the toxic work culture of the 'Ellen' show, my grandma would've told you ".. woulda been a snake.. it would've bit ya!"
Ellen Degeneres is exiting daytime TV stage right claiming that she is no longer "challenged" by the chore of hosting celebrities, making millions of dollars and giving away free stuff on the daily. But if you've even just seen a few clips from the show, you can tell that in recent years, the comedian has been "out of" hosting the show. It seems like she's been dancing less, even her facial expressions show that she's not very interested in some of her guests and it's almost as if she doesn't get that 'kick' out of the games she's been playing with celebs lately.
As another media host, in her defense, I will say - sometimes things do get monotonous. Which fosters the need for creativity, spicing and mixing your routine up and branching out from the core of what your brand is known to do. For me, this has been seen most recently with the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, as they've had a wider array of musical guests spanning deeper hip hop artists like Lil' Durk, Pooh Shiesty and most recently Coi Leray gracing the late night stage.
Will you miss the Ellen show? Here are a few of my favorite moments from the past.
