"The Boondocks" Reboot Has Been Canceled for HBO Max

I swear it has been at least 2 years or so, that we heard "The Boondocks" would get a reboot. Regina King voiced the two characters, Riley and Huey and Aaron McGruder was behind the black comic. The show ended some years ago but recently, there were talks about a reboot for HBO Max. I was hype! The show, that was originally aired on Adult Swim, was supposed to premiere in the fall of 2020. And now, it will not happen, according to The Wrap. One of the voice actors for The Boondocks, Cedric Yarbrough, did a Podcast interview and spilled the tea about the show not returning. Cedric said, “We’ve been wanting to do the show and Sony…they decided they’re going to pull the plug." He continued with, “Hopefully one day we’ll be able to revisit it.”
