The video is hard to watch but has now gone viral. An off duty firefighter in Queens, NY was attacked and beaten by a mob of teens while he was out walking his dog. Two of the three teens identified on the video have been turned into NYPD by their parents and will face a judge in Children's Court.
The fireman came across the crowd of teens lighting fireworks and confronted the group about the noise. Allegedly, a verbal altercation turned violent with at least three teenagers caught on video violent attacking the man.
The fireman who remains unnamed, stated the teens targeted him and declared 'I could fight you' after taking off his shirt and then began attacking the 44-year-old man. Witness only recorded the incident instead of attempting to intervene per the victim.
Although he was not injured badly despite being kicked, beaten and hit in the head with a glass bottle, NYPD quickly released photos hoping the public would turn in the teen offenders.
'They all came at me,' he said.
'A kid came up behind me and hit me in the back of the head with a bottle and I let go of the dog.'
The firefighter stated believes the teens 'were going crazy' and were 'high as a kite' before he got attacked.
'I got hit, turned around, that's when the kids started coming at me,' he told the New York Post.
'Then I was on the floor, holding one kid.'
The attack finally stopped when an ambulance pulled up.
'They were waiting by the park,' he said.
'If they weren't there I would have been in much worse condition.'
His dog was not harmed and held away from the attack by a good samaritan.
