Rapper Key Glock is now speaking on the tragic loss of his friend, cousin, best friend and mentor, Young Dolph. Following the news of Young Dolph's murder, Key Glock deactivated all his social media accounts and remained silent. On Sunday, Key Glock took to his Instagram stories to say “STOP asking me if I’m ok. Knowing damn well I ain’t..”
Now, Key Glock took to Instagram to express his pain after the murder of Young Dolph. He wrote:
damn bro, im LOST😞 my heart is torn my brain bout to explode it HURTS when I breathe..why you leave me so soon?? I’ll never be the same, you was my lefthand man,my brother,my cousin,my mentor and drank partner🥲 for the past 2 years I been taking LOSS AFTER LOSS and still can’t understand why💔First, it was my pops then my auntie then my grandma and now YOU!! I know we can’t question GOD but GOD why?! There’s nothing no one can do or say to bring you back and that shit just eats me up by the second!! Dolph signed Key Glock to his Paper Route Empire label in 2017. They released their collaborative album 'Dum and Dummer' in 2019 and the follow-up 'Dum and Dummer 2' this year. Reports stated Key Glock had helped Dolph hand out 200 Thanksgiving turkeys on Monday (Nov. 15) at the West Cancer Center & Research Institute in Germantown, Tennessee.
A few days before Dolph passed away, he shared several Instagram posts promoting Glizock’s new project. “Key Glock New Project Yellow Tape 2 out now on all platforms.. shit haaaaaaard,” he captioned one post.
Young Dolph was shot and killed on Wednesday (Nov. 17) afternoon outside Makeda’s Butter Cookies in Memphis. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Memphis Police Department is still searching for the assailants who were caught on camera driving up and firing shots at the 36-year-old father of two.
